NUJ Lauds Ooni, Iyalaje Oodua On Exemplary Leadership




The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi on his efforts at rendering selfless and sacrificial services to humanity across the western states and Nigeria as a whole.
The Zone, while congratulating the Arole Oodua on his birthday noted in particular the various interventions and mediatory roles played by the Ooni in crucial matters that concern the security, development and well-being of the South West Nigeria and other germane matters of National Interests.
In a statement jointly signed by the newly elected Vice-President  and Secretary of the NUJ Zone B of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Comrade (Mrs.) Ronke Afebioye Samo and Abdulrazak Alege and made available to PMParrot in Ado Ekiti, the union disclosed that “Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has, since his enthronement as the Arole Oodua of the Yoruba race, remained a loving, caring, kindhearted and purpose driven leader whose love for humanity has made him to continue to give his best in all ramifications”.


President  and Secretary of the NUJ Zone B of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Comrade (Mrs.) Ronke Afebioye Samo and Abdulrazak Alege and made available to news men in Ado Ekiti, the union disclosed that “Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has, since his enthronement as the Arole Oodua of the Yoruba race, remained a loving, caring, kindhearted and purpose driven leader whose love for humanity has made him to continue to give his best in all ramifications”.







The statement reads “The Ooni has remained a very humble, peace loving and development-oriented leader of all the traditional monarchs in the South West of Nigeria. His great love for humanity has been manifested in his selfless service for many in terms of empowerment programmes and schemes which he sponsored for his people, community development and growth projects that he financed and the many lives his benevolence has touched.
He has been a great inspiration to leaders across board and particularly to the Nigerian youths that have enjoyed his imperial Majesty’s philanthropy.
Indeed, the Arole Oodua’s reign has brought tremendous development to his immediate environment, Ile-Ife and Osun State and this has spread to the South West in the sense that his Imperial Majesty’s exemplary leadership has encouraged other leaders”.
Comrade Samo equally lauded Princess (Dr) Toyin Kolade, who is the Iyalaje Oodua for her supportive role and exemplary leadership style as a role model for market women in the South West Nigeria.
She  commended the Iyalajes immense support and encouragement to the Ooni in steering the traditional  ship of the Yoruba race. 
She therefore on behalf of the NUJ zone B expressed warm gratitude and appreciation to the Iyalaje in this respect
