Olori Oluwakemi talk about the role of women



As part of the activities marking this Year's Iyemogun Day Olori Oluwakemi Ruth is the Olori of Iyemogun Ijesha kingdom Osun State,wife of Oba Olamilekan Johnson Aremu Fayemi Ilufemiloye 1 Oniyemogun of Iyemogun Ijesha kingdom Her Royal Majesty,  Iyemogun day   is celebrated in September every year to celebrate the achievements and history of Iyemogun town 



Addressing Glam Ladies crew She emphasised on "The Impact of Women In National Development", Olori  Oniyemegun emphasized the need for royal women to see themselves as agents of change and development in their respective kingdoms.


Olori further emphasized the invaluable roles of women in the society across various aspects and areas from household, communities and the larger society.
"It is no news that women are the pillars of the society and they are the engine room of economic growth with enormous responsibilities to God, man and society at large. Women are natural gifts from God to do so many things at the same time. They play the roles of wives, mothers, caretakers, educators, to mention but few."
"According to the United Nations Watch Organization, women play a key role in supporting their households and communities in achieving so many things including food security, income generation and improved livelihood, among others.", She noted.
The foremost Queen at the occasion further highlighted some women and youth centred development initiatives that are credited to her though her Foundation an initiative she noted has trained and empowered over 500 women and youths in various empowerment progs
She urged women to draw from the great women in history such as the Ooni Luwo of Ile-Ife, Alaafin Oronpoto of Oyo Kingdom and the Osemawe Pupupu of Ondo Kingdom, urging them to emulate their heroic deeds in their respective communities.



The event will be attended by prominent women and dignitaries including  notable people from across the country
